This Is The Tamiya 1/12 Suzuki GSX1100S Katana Custom Tuned tam 14065
The Suzuki GSX1100S Katana was brought about by the brilliant German Designer Hans A. Muth, and was first unveiled to the public during the 1980 Cologne Show in Germany.
The idea behind this strikingly aggressive, yet highly aerodynamic body styling came from the Japanese Samurai sword, or “Katana.” With its integrated front cowling and fuel tank sculpture, the Katana successfully departed from conventional motorcycle styling and offered the rider unsurpassed comfort and running performance.
The powerplant is a 1074cc, 4-stroke, 16-valve, 4-cylinder DOHC engine that uses the innovative TSCC (Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber) to provide a high power output while obtaining superb fuel economy.
This 111 horsepower engine is mounted on lightweight, highly rigid double cradle steel-pipe frame.
This awesome power, when combined with the excellent aerodynamic shape allows the Katana to reach speeds of almost 237km/h. Since beginning mass production is 1981, the Katana has continued to capture motorcycle fans around the world with its unique styling and performance, given it an exceptionally long mass production run.
Many motorcyclists prefer to add their own special parts, to meet their own tastes and requirements. 4-into-1 exhaust systems, reinforced front and rear brakes, oil-coolers, and high performance rear shock absorbers are few of the items found on custom modified Katanas.
